Ryan's 20 year class reunion is this summer! Yikes! How old does that make me feel? I still feel like I should be in high school, but here I am with six kids and a 5th grader. Wow! When did I get so old?

We tended the Crane's kids tonight. Ashlyn, Brandon and Jace. The kids had such a fun time playing hide and go seek, riding bikes, chasing goats, jumping on the trampoline and getting in the mud. The flower in the middle of my head was put there by Ashlyn. She insisted that I wear it and that she take a picture of me with it in my hair. She could only make it stick in right in the middle of my head.

I made Sam hold some of the chicks so that you could see how big they were getting. They have very little down left, and they are kinda creepy looking with half feathers and half down. Just as I was taking the pictures, the one on the right peed on him! That's why he has such a funny face. I laughed that the chick would pick just that moment to pee on Sam!

The kids were all playing so well, totally entertaining themselves when Ashlyn came to tell me that Max had pt mud on Jace's head. I went out to the back, and they were all muddy. I said "Ashlyn, your mom is going to kill me because you all got so muddy." She looked at me and in a very serious matter-of -fact voice said "My mom doesn't like it when I get my new clothes muddy, and these are new clothes. You should have been out here watching us closer." Boy was she right! I guess I failed as a baby-sitter. But I gave them popsicles, so maybe that made up for it.

The sky was gorgeous tonight, and the weather was perfect. Those are the windmills up on the hill, that white line, and that is our chicken coop, the tan building with the red trim.

This was such a great night. Perfect weather, kids playing hard! At 9:00 p.m. It was still really light outside and all the kids were still playing, and Sam said "Mom, it's 9:00 and we are still all outside! This is great." It doesn't get dark here until 10:00 and the sun is up at 5:00 I love it!

I just love how kids tell you how it is. they usually are right. That's the bad part. I love seeing Sam get peed on. It makes me laugh. Mara is so cute I could eat her. I love that pic of her and Ryan! I miss you guys. I know that I tell you that every time but I really do.
I laughed and laughed to see the little chick pee on Sam. What a smile he has!

You are seriously the perfect farm family. All beautiful, all natural, so great! I feel bad you can't read my blog. I've never had anyone tell me that. I need to change my layout so hopefully you'll get it soon.
I agree with Britt, the pix of Sam with the tinkling birdie is funny, funny!
