We decided this year to be the "Griswalds" and trek to the mountains to find that perfect tree.
We went with our friends the Shephard's and they led us to a perfect spot.
We packed all our winter gear, hot chocolate and sandwiches.
The weather was so beautiful though, most of the winter gear was ditched quite quickly.
Isn't this a beautiful spot?
Ryan actually said he had a "Clark Griswald" moment. He came around the corner and
AHHHH! the sun was shining a beam of light on our perfect tree.
We actually found it so fast the kids were all complaining because they weren't ready to leave.
We drank hot chocolate, played, ate our sandwiches, played, played some more and then headed for home to set up our beautiful evergreen.
It was so much fun, kids and parents loved it and hope it will become a tradition.

I am liking the new blog. Did you design it? How fun to go and get a tree. I want to do that so bad. Your kids are all so darn cute. Your music that is playing could make me cry. The Christmas one that is unknown. How did you find it? I love it. "Dear Mom" one.
I went and got a blog back ground from the same place you did. How come yours is center and mine isn't. Did I do something wrong?
Melanie!! I thought I had got on the wrong website! It is beautiful and made me cry (just a little bit though)! Have to be brave!!! One down, only 17 more to go.

Haven't looked at your blog for a while. Your "Griswald" adventure is great. I'm so grateful for your blog that lets us share these times with you and those KIDS. We love you all. CLARK you did good. I bet you enjoyed every moment.
(Sounds like your mom is a little homesick (or should I say grandkid sick). They will be blest for this time of service. We love you all. Love, Yaiya
love it. Some of our funniest and most memorable times are the christmas tree hunts. Love reading your posts and seeing your family.
