Him that is weak in the faith receive ye,
but not to doubtful disputation.
{We should accept others wholeheartedly.}
For one believeth that he may eat all things:
another, who is weak eateth herbs.
Let not him that eateth dispise him that eateth not;
and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth;
for God hath received him.
{We all have diffrent reasons for why we do the things we do, but to each, their journey is their own. We must find our own path through this life and those paths will not all be the same. What matters is that what you believe, you hold true to. What works for you and where the Holy Ghost leads you, you go. Your path may not be the same as your neighbors, and that is okay. What is important is that we don't judge others for where they are in their journey. In the end the destination is the same.}
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant?
To his own master he standeth or falleth.
Yea he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.
One man esteemeth one day above another;
another esteemeth every day alike.
Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
For none of us liveth to himself and no man dieth to himself...
For to this end Christ both died and rose, and revived,
that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
But why dost thou judge thy brother?
or why dost thou set at nought thy brother?
for we shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ.
{I have been so irritated lately about how one person can think that they are more important than another to the point that they look down their nose them. Are we not all children of God. Does he not love us all the same. In the end will it matter who you were on this earth? No, just how you acted. Who do we represent? As a baptized member of the Church of Jesus Christ we are his representative, we bear his name. We should emulate his life. He loved all! The sinner, the saint the poor the weak, the powerful, the strong. }
Let us not therefore judge one anther any more:
but judge this rather,
that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus,
that there is nothing unclean of itself;
but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean to him it is unclean.
{Loved that part right there! It doesn't matter if we think what someone does is right or not, or something we would or wouldn't do, If they feel it is important to them, we should respect that and not try to make them stumble, but support them. Ultimately, it is the Holy Ghost who can help you to understand if you are on your own right path. Prayer, scripture study. That is how you can know.}
For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peach and things wherewith one may edify another.
{I highly suggest reading this whole chapter it was so good. I came away with a renewed strength to accept others for who they are and where they are at in this life and to just love them. Love them like Christ loves us all.}
It truly is my testimony that Christ is our Saviour. It is because of him that we can repent and be forgiven for the large and small mistakes that we make each day, and because of that we can return and live with our Father in Heaven again. I so look forward to the day that I will see his face, but I will not know anymore then of his love for me than I do now! He is my strength and salvation.

AMEN - I can't tell you how many times I have read or gone to a church meeting and the message there was just for ME. It's very hard to remember that Heavenly Father loves all his Children, especially when our feelings have been hurt or when we just want to be judgemental to make us feel better about ourselves. It's a process though and for some of us it might take a life time to learn. I think that is my case, I hope I live long enough to learn this lesson. Thanks for your post. It is a great reminder to me. Love you and your sweet testimony, thanks for sharing.
really...i do love ya! and i'm glad you do things a little bit different! who cares if you do??? heaven knows you and i do things pretty differently, but in the end, its like you said, i think we're trying to head the same direction! and, i love a little alternative to my course! i feel HORRIBLE that we've gotten distanced...its been a wild year and we're both super busy, but i'd kill for a few more outings like the other day! anyone who would criticize you is NUTZO! i love ya
This post is so true. It is amazing how we turn to a scripture that seems to be written just for us and just in time. It is also sad how much we hurt each other on this planet..sometimes without meaning to do it. Good luck and may God bless you.
Thanks for the great post! It is a good reminder to love everyone no matter what choices or decisions they make! I can't imagine anyone could meet you and not instantly love you....they obviously don't KNOW you! Thanks for being the great example that you are!
Melanie, I am sorry someone hurt your feelings. I know that you often have to defend your actions and I agree that they are yours to make. I am glad you were able to find comfort in the one place that is true comfort. I love you for who you are and what you have taught me. I even love that you are a "witch". Okay I had to say it. Hehehe, I hope you know I am joking. Hey, call me when you are having a hard day. Heaven knows I could use it. Miss you.
It is so great to know that as you are "in" the scriptures the holy ghost speaks to you just what you need to hear, read, or feel at the moment. It is one of those Tender Mercies that we find from a Loving Heavenly Father. Thanks for sharing this amazing fact with us all. You are so prompted when you put yourself where you need to be! I love YOU!
It is a beautiful lesson! A friend said the other day that the only thing he really has to worry about in his life is his relationship with God. If he is right with God that is the only thing that matters. We can't make everyone happy no matter how hard we try, but we can make our Heavenly Father happy. I liked that!
I haven't been able to get to know you as much as I would like, but have enjoyed being sisters in the same ward. There are many things I watch and admire about you! God Bless!
Wow Melanie! I just read this post and really, really enjoyed it. You are so right about people looking down their noses. I needed to read this! Thank you!
